Following every game in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League 2023–24, 32 teams from across Europe have advanced to the first round of the knockout stages.
The two English teams that have advanced beyond their groups into the next round are Arsenal and Manchester City, the defending champions, but Newcastle United was unable to join them following the Magpies’ loss to Milan and Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-1 draw with Dortmund.
Manchester United, captained by Erik ten Hag, won’t even be sent to the Europa League after finishing last in Group A.

The Champions League knockout draw is happening when?
At UEFA’s headquarters in Switzerland on Thursday, December 18, at 11:00 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the Champions League round of 16 draw will take place.
The first round of knockout matches is scheduled for March 5, 6, 12, 13 (second legs) and February 13, 14, 20, and 21 (first legs).
