Visitors to Hurghada, a well-known resort in Egypt, witnessed a guy being devoured alive by a shark just steps from a packed beach.
The victim, 23-year-old Vladimir Popov, was a Russian national, according to Russian media.
The fatal assault took place on June 8th, according to Viktor Voropayev, the general consul of Russia in Hurghada, who spoke to the nation’s TASS news agency. He declared, “The shark attack resulted in the death of a Russian.” He pointed out that Popov was a resident of Egypt and not just a visitor.
Hotel employees can be seen calling for swimmers to exit the water as the shark’s fin approaches in the heart-pounding video of the incident.
He can be seen swimming frantically towards the direction of the beach, but when still in deeper water, he looks to be attacked by the shark.
