On Mondays, the British government stated that it no longer discourages travelers from visiting Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, but cautioned that hazards still exist.
This comes after the government of the nation issued a terror notice to its people in Nigeria two weeks prior.
The UK government stated that the caution against travel to other locations is still in effect in the latest travel advice it released on Monday via its FCDO Travel Advice on its Twitter account.
“The FCDO no longer advises against all but essential travel to the Federal Capital Territory, including the city of Abuja, but hazards remain, and further details concerning the persistent threat from terrorism in this location have been included,” the bulletin reads. The FCDO continues to advise against visiting other regions of Nigeria.
