Babatunji Wusu –
On Sunday, three people narrowly avoided death when a 40-foot container fell from the Ojuelegba Bridge onto a Toyota Corolla automobile inside the Surulere Stadium on Funsho Williams Avenue.
Adebayo Taofiq, the director of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority’s (LASTMA) Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, claimed in a press release that the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) and other emergency responders saved the people inside the car.
He said that just one of the three people inside the confined car survived unharmed and was permitted to return home right away, while the other two suffered injuries.
“Traffic Officer Olajide Olukoga ‘Bravo’ who oversaw the LASTMA rescue efforts at the scene of the accident confirmed that a 40-foot container fell on top of a Toyota Corolla car (JJJ 811 FB) at the top of Ojuelegba bridge inside of Stadium,” he said.
