President Bola Tinubu has applauded the Super Eagles for their commanding 2–0 victory over Algeria in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final, charging the team to sustain the momentum as they push for the title.

Nigeria sealed the win on Saturday to book a place in the semi-finals, extending their impressive run in the tournament. Shortly after the match, the President took to his verified X account to commend the players and technical crew for their discipline and determination.

Tinubu praised the squad under coach Eric Chelle and urged them to remain focused as the competition intensifies, stressing that the nation stands firmly behind them.

“Go, Super Eagles!” the President wrote, assuring the team of the full backing of Nigerians at home and abroad.

The victory has boosted national confidence, with growing belief that Nigeria can lift the continental trophy at the 2025 AFCON. Attention now shifts to the semi-final showdown against host nation Morocco, a fixture expected to test the Eagles’ resolve and title credentials.
