…Babayemi urges Nigerians to prioritise Tinubu’s second term
…Chieftain rallies support as Osun gears up for 2026 governorship poll
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Dotun Babayemi, has declared that any gang-up against the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 will ultimately fail.
Babayemi, an aspirant in the upcoming August 8 Osun governorship primary, made this assertion during his ward-to-ward consultations in Ayedire Local Government Area on Sunday.
He described Tinubu’s second term as “a done deal,” insisting that nothing can derail the president’s eight-year tenure.
“The president is breaking grounds with positive impacts and the results will tangibly manifest in the course of his second term in office,” Babayemi said.
According to him, re-electing Tinubu in 2027 will be key to stabilising the country and driving sustained economic growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He added that the APC in Osun is already mobilising to secure victory in both the 2026 governorship election in the state and the 2027 presidential election.
“Tinubu’s re-election should be paramount to Nigerians, especially party members. Since Tinubu’s assumption of office, he has rolled out reforms and programmes under the Renewed Hope Agenda which are already bearing positive fruits,” he stated.
Babayemi also urged APC faithful and eligible voters across Osun to prepare for the upcoming voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), emphasising that participation will be critical for electoral success.
“The re-election of the president would put the country on a firm footing,” he said.
