Tunji Wusu –

Tobi Amusan of Nigeria has been exonerated of d%ping violations, and her provisional suspension has been lifted.

This means she’ll compete at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Tobi Amusan’s “provisional suspension has now been lifted with immediate effect,” according to a statement issued by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).

Tobi Amusan was found not to have committed an Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) of three Whereabouts Failures within a 12-month period by a panel of the Disciplinary Tribunal today.

The AIU, according to AIU Head Brett Clothier, is upset by this judgment and will carefully analyze the reasoning before determining whether to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The decision is currently private, but will be made public in due course. The preliminary suspension of Amusan has now been revoked with immediate effect.”
