Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has announced she is expecting her first child, unveiling her baby bump in a touching video that has stirred excitement among fans.

The 40-year-old, who has previously spoken openly about her desire for motherhood and considered options like surrogacy, described the pregnancy as the most significant chapter of her life.

In an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday, Makinwa declared, “The biggest project of my life, the highest calling ever! 2025… What a difference a year can make.” She credited God for the blessing, noting how it had transformed her life and opened new doors.

Reflecting on her journey, Makinwa admitted she once battled doubts but later realised the waiting period had prepared her for the blessing.

She expressed gratitude for being chosen for motherhood and excitement about stepping into the new role. Addressing her unborn child, she wrote:

“My bug, I cannot wait to meet you, you’ve made me the happiest person on earth, baby, thank you. The answer to my prayers… you’ve blessed me already. My heart is over the moon!”
