Sam Smith and Kim Petras are ruling the U.K. charts with “Unholy” for the third week in a row (EMI).
Songs are ranked on First Look according to their sales and streaming activity as of midweek. The song that went viral is at the top, followed by “Forget Me” (Vertigo) by Lewis Capaldi, “I’m Good (Blue)” by David Guetta, and “I’m Good (Blue)” by Bebe Rexha (all from Parlophone).
For what would be a new peak, Beyonce is ascending with her Renaissance album “Cuff It” (Columbia/Parkwood Ent), set to lift 10-6, while British hip-hop singer Aitch might have two tracks bounce. The Manchester rapper’s “Psycho” (Atlantic) duet with Anne-Marie is expected to score 12–8 points, while his tag-team with Ed Sheeran on “My G” (Asylum/Capitol) is expected to score 16–13 points.
Australian producer and DJ Luude is still in the top 10 songs with his drum ‘n’ bass duet with Mattafix, “Big City Life” (Warner Records). As the follow-up to “Down Under,” which peaked at No. 5 on the Official Chart earlier this year, “Big City Life” moves up the chart from position 11 to position 9.
A few songs are rising in the rankings despite the absence of any brand-new singles that are debuting on the chart explosion, including songs by Burna Boy and Ed Sheeran (“For My Hand” up 19–15 via Atlantic), Tom Grennan (“All These Nights” up 64–16 via Insanity), Lizzo (“2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” up 2018 via Atlantic), Cian Ducrot (“All For You” up 23–19 via Polydor), and Rema (”
Everything will be made obvious when the Official U.K. Singles Chart is announced late on Friday (Oct. 14).
