Nigerian music powerhouse Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, has confirmed that she is officially engaged. The 45-year-old singer revealed the development during an interview with Hip TV in Lagos, declaring, “I am actually engaged,” though she withheld details about her fiancé.

Waje, who has long been vocal about her relationship expectations, reiterated in an earlier interview that she cannot marry an unsuccessful man, stressing that age is no longer on her side to endure financial instability or prolonged struggle in a partner.

During a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, the award-winning vocalist revisited a painful chapter of her past, revealing that the father of her daughter denied the pregnancy and abandoned her when she was a teenager. She recounted that although he later returned with an apology, he never took responsibility for their child — even after requesting a DNA test, which he ultimately failed to attend.
