Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) presidential candidate, stated on Sunday that his team is developing a West African gas that, if he or she is elected, will be sold in Europe.

Tinubu made this statement when bringing his campaign to Benin City, Edo State, where he hosted a town hall meeting with political figures, members of various social organizations, and industry experts.
Benin is the economic hub of this resource- and gas-rich region, he remarked when discussing his growth goals.

We are developing a gas for West Africa that will be sold in Europe. If those who declared their desire for power and reigned for 16 years had given this some thought, we may now be making money in this country.

“The growth for Edo would have been different if Nigeria had been selling gas.

“I tell you that we will correct all of those anomalies, and Edo will be a hub for all commercial activity.”

Regarding the artifacts, Tinubu stated that he would back the creation of a museum to house them and would keep pressing for compensation from people who had kept them all these years.

“I’m here to ask for your prayers; I battled and suffered for this nation’s democracy and made sacrifices.

“When these eight years began, it was only natural to consider the succession, and I informed President Buhari that I was running but getting nowhere.

“I am a Villa candidate. I would like to occupy the space after you leave. As a result, I require your blessing since I value it.

According to Oba Ewuare II, the federal government has taken over the construction of the museum through the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, and he appreciated Tinubu’s intended support for the institution, which he said will promote research and tourism (NCMM).

He also expressed his gratitude to the state legislature for supporting the museum initiative.

At the town hall gathering, Tinubu pledged to completely deregulate the oil industry, allowing the market to set oil product prices based on location.

He declared that the PDP and other parties shouldn’t come to power and that his administration would make sure that all the refineries were operating.

He discussed his plans and urged people to vote for his party in all elections starting on February 25.

Tinubu praised President Muhammadu Buhari for agreeing to the extension of the deadline for the transition to the redesigned naira notes at the palace of the Oba of Benin where His Majesty, Oba Ewuare II was present along with traditional leaders from the Edo Central and Edo North senatorial districts.

He claimed that requests for an extension were a factor in his tardiness to the meeting.

He said that he would battle for the return of the artifacts that had been taken from the City and that, if he were to win, one of his plans would be to investigate the abundant natural resources in Edo State, notably gas, in order to export it to Europe.
