On Monday, the federal administration claimed that it has effectively refuted the opposition’s assertion that President Muhammadu has no accomplishments and, as a result, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had no ground to cover in the current elections.
Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, announced the 26th iteration of the media series known as “Scorecard,” which highlights the accomplishments of the current administration from 2015 until 2023.
The final in the series before the general elections was published on Tuesday and featured the Ministry of Information and Culture.
Remember that the goal of the series, which debuted on October 18, 2022, was to “massively display the manifold successes of the Buhari administration.”
“I am happy to state that we have achieved our purpose of introducing the scorecard series, which is to massively display the successes of the Buhari administration,” the Minister remarked.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the opposition consistently argued that the APC and the Buhari Administration have nothing to campaign on ahead of the general elections in 2023 before the Scorecard Series was even introduced. But we’ve disproven their claims. Not only do we have accomplishments to use in our campaigns, but we also have a lot of options.
“This administration has carried out high-impact initiatives that satisfy Nigerians’ needs and ambitions across the length and breadth of the nation, according to President Muhammadu Buhari. Additionally, this is done in acknowledgement of the essential role that infrastructure plays in economic growth and the administration’s desire to leave a lasting legacy.
In his introductory remarks, the government’s spokesman reminded that in a little more than three months, 25 out of 28 Ministers had used this platform to provide Nigerians a scorecard of their performance.
He claimed that due to scheduling issues, the remaining Ministers would show up following the elections.
He continued, “Our multilayer coverage of the Scorecard Series ensured wide dissemination of the information generating therefrom,” while thanking everyone for their help in making the series a success.
The byte-size e-flyers for social media and the video clips that are airing on television stations across the nation were produced by us, in addition to live coverage, live streaming, and the routine reportage of the presentations.
The Minister added that he had promised that each ministry would highlight the accomplishments of the administration in relation to their respective fields, saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, you have heard from these ministries and about these topics and more. For us, the mission has been successfully completed.
“You will see more of our multifaceted efforts to highlight the administration’s accomplishments in the days ahead and leading up to the elections.”
Mohammed stated that the government will soon release a documentary showcasing in vivid terms the enormous strides made by the administration in all facets of life, as well as a testimony series that will allow regular Nigerians to express how the administration’s policies and programs have benefited them, a compilation of the administration’s accomplishments, and a legacy portal that will preserve everything I’ve just mentioned for future generations.
