Dele Momodu, the Publisher of Ovations magazine, has dismissed rumors circulating about the death of Nigerian billionaire businessman Mike Adenuga, the owner of Globacom. Momodu addressed the false claims in a post on his personal X account late Tuesday night.

The rumors, which emerged from a social media report, falsely stated that Adenuga, one of Nigeria’s prominent oil magnates, had passed away. In response, Momodu clarified that the 71-year-old businessman is in good health and actively working. He emphasized that Adenuga, widely regarded as Nigeria’s second-richest individual, was at his desk, continuing his efforts to support the Nigerian economy.

Momodu further shared that he had personally spoken to Adenuga, who expressed gratitude for the public’s concern. He urged Nigerians to disregard the misleading information, stating, “The Spirit of Africa, Dr. Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Isola Adenuga, is hale and hearty. He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy.”
