Nigeria now has a functioning Starlink. Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, started his company on Monday, and Nigeria is the first country in Africa to use its services.
The final confirmation that the Starlink satellite is in Nigeria’s orbit came from the official SpaceX Twitter account, which tweeted: “Starlink is now available in Nigeria – the first African country to receive service.
Isa Pantami, the minister of communication, claimed last week that the licensing of SpaceX’s Starlink had allowed Nigeria to attain full broadband coverage.
Currently, it is predicted that shipping will take between one and two weeks after the order. The website claims that the cost of the gear is $274,098 and the cost of the service is $19,260 each month.
All of Nigeria’s outlying regions may get Starlink, which offers internet speeds between 50 and 200 Mbps.
The delivery will be made at your front door.
For the first 30 days that customers use their services, the company is offering a discount for lesser pricing.
Although the costs for the monthly subscription are very high, the promised internet speed is well worth the money.
On the corporate website, it is said that “Starlink allows consumers to engage in activities that satellite internet has historically not allowed.
“The largest constellation of highly developed satellites in the world, flying in a low orbit around the Earth, makes it feasible for Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency service to be provided.”
