According to the Ondo State Government, the prompt completion of projects around the State was made possible by its commitment to proper procedure in public procurement standards.
It declared that there were no active failed or abandoned projects in the State.

Tolu Fadahunsi, director general of the Ondo State Bureau of Public Procurement (OSBPP), said the current administration has made openness, transparency, value for money, and accountability in the procurement process a watchword at the conclusion of a two-day training workshop for officers in charge of procurements in the state.

Fadahunsi emphasized that under Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, procurement processes had taken on a new dimension.

He said that the State Bureau of Public Procurement would anticipate working with a new attitude that supports due diligence as captured in the procurement process for both tangible and intangible projects from all participants in the procurement value chain in Ondo State.

“Our goal is to increase the expertise of our workforce in the area of public procurements. In order to become a benchmark for best practices, we wish to institutionalize due process throughout all of our procurement procedures. This is owing to the immense benefits of due process in public finance.

“As a result, we think that all government employees should be aware of the philosophy and how to use due process in public procurements. The people, the citizens, and even the government would benefit wherever due process is practiced. Therefore, this initiative is crucial to Ondo state’s excellent governance, he stated.
