Tyler Posey and Crystal Reed, stars of Teen Wolf: The Movie, talk about the need for sequels to the enduring MTV drama. This week, one of the most well-known spooky programs returned after concluding its run in 2017. Teen Wolf: The Movie revived the namesake series, which terminated after six seasons, and was initially based on the 1985 comedy film. The film, which takes set about two decades after the conclusion of the Teen Wolf television series, examines the characters as adults and shows what they are up to these days. One of the hardest obstacles yet is presented to Scott McHall and his companions as a new evil develops and Allison Argent unexplainably reappears.

The possibility of additional adventures is raised by the release of the Teen Wolf reunion movie on Paramount+. Teen Wolf: The Movie served as the show’s unofficial seventh season in many ways, although in a two-hour format. Posey and Reed, who are Scott and Allison, were recently interviewed by Screen Rant about returning for the project. The actors were asked if they would be open to further Teen Wolf sequels if creator Jeff Davis had another concept now that Allison was back in the living world. Both actors expressed a keen curiosity in learning more about Scott and Allison’s lives, saying they would want to:

Tyler Posey: It’s definitely not the perfect ending. I think it lends itself to more, I want more. I think it would be interesting to now see how they live their lives as adults. We got to see them as teenagers. We got to see them for two days as adults, but they were distracted, by all this chaos. I really want to see them get into the depression, the anxiety, the weight, the heaviness of being an adult that comes with it, and real-life adult scenarios. Not just saving your friends’ lives, but dealing with s–t that needs to be dealt with. So I think that would be really interesting to do.

Crystal Reed: Maybe like mental health or psychological aspects would be really interesting. And it could help people.

THINGS THAT TEEN WOLF SEQUELS COULD EXPLORE

Even though Teen Wolf won’t likely ever return as a television program, more sequels to the series might be in order. Since the original movie made the decision to make a significant time jump, there are many years that the sequels might explore, both in the present and in flashbacks. Even though Teen Wolf: The Movie briefly addressed what had been going on for years, a sequel may cover more ground. Naturally, a sequel would also need to concentrate on the characters’ experiences with Derek’s death.

The aftermath of Derek’s passing was dealt with toward the end of Teen Wolf: The Movie. However, considering the significant impact he had on their lives, grief and acceptance might still be further addressed in a different film. The son of Derek Hale, Eli Hale, who is now forced to live without his father, is undoubtedly another important figure. In essence, he has the potential to replace “Teen Wolf” in the franchise, especially with Scott acting as his Alpha. Allison and her loved ones will also need to acclimate to the knowledge that she is alive once more, which is undoubtedly a process.

Teen Wolf sequels may address more complex issues now that the characters are adults, as Posey and Reed noted. Since the franchise would be available on Paramount+, there may be more depths to be discovered there than when Teen Wolf was on MTV. Another significant chance for Teen Wolf sequels is to finally bring Dylan O’Brien back as Stiles, who was unfortunately missing from the original movie. If there are any sequels, only time will tell, but for the time being, viewers may watch Teen Wolf: The Movie on Paramount+.
