The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that no administration can solve all the challenges facing the nation’s capital, not even if he were to serve as minister for 500 years.
Speaking on Friday at the flag-off of the construction of Collector Road C01 in the Institution and Research District, linking the Body of Benchers complex to the Nile University area, Wike said his team remains committed to delivering impactful projects within its mandate and available resources.
> “Even if I were to be minister for 500 years, I cannot solve all the problems of the FCT,” Wike said. “But within our time and the resources available, we will do our best to make life better for residents.”
The minister reaffirmed the administration’s focus on infrastructure renewal and efficient urban planning, noting that the new project will ease traffic congestion and enhance access to educational and institutional zones.
The event drew key government officials, contractors, and community stakeholders, who lauded the initiative as another stride in the ongoing transformation of the FCT.
