The Director General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Folorunso Aluko, has declared that six more state governors are poised to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) before the 2027 general elections.

Aluko made the revelation on Thursday during the PGF Quarterly Strategy Meeting of Information Commissioners from APC-led states, held in Maiduguri, Borno State. He asserted that the ruling party is strategically strengthening its structures nationwide to consolidate political dominance and expand its influence ahead of the polls.

According to him, the Forum is confident that the number of APC-controlled states will rise from 24 to at least 30 by 2027.

The PGF boss also urged unity and collaboration between state governments and the federal administration, emphasizing the need for party officials to “speak with one voice, act with integrity, and serve with renewed hope” in their shared mission to advance national development.
