In a clash between Yoruba Nation agitators and the police on Monday in the Ojota neighborhood of Lagos State, a male adult who has not yet been identified was killed.

The unidentified person’s death was confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson in Lagos. He claimed that Command personnel had been sent to the area.
In the heat of the chaos that began Monday morning, commuters fled for safety.

According to a source, some protesters showed up to call for the Yoruba Nation among other things, and when the police showed up to restrain them, a fight broke out.

According to a reliable police source, the men of the Lagos State Police Command arrived in procession shortly after the protesters took to the streets with a detachment of members of the Rapid Response Squad, State Taskforce, and regular divisional officers.
When security personnel arrived, they used tear gas to scatter the crowd.

The ensuing rage reportedly resulted in the burning of a police van.
