Actor Yul Edochie from Nollywood has acknowledged that he has a calling to serve as a minister of God.
According to The Premier News, Edochie, 40, revealed this in a video posted to his Instagram on Monday.
The actor said in the post that he had been given the guidance in the past but had not yet put it into practice. He noticed that the calling had grown “extremely strong” on him and that the time had arrived for him to act.
In the video, he declared, “I have a calling to be a preacher of God, to be one of God’s ministers, to preach the word of God via words and acts.
“I’ve felt this calling for a very long time, in fact for many years. I’ve always thought, though, that perhaps the time hadn’t come or wasn’t the proper time. However, it’s much stronger now. I believe the moment is now.
God had given Yul fame, he continued, so that he could someday use it for the ministry.
God has given me blessings in this life. By the grace of God, I’ve grown to be one of the most prominent and well-known actors on the African continent. God has led me to the pinnacle of my life.
I’m beginning to see that God elevated me as an actor to where I am so that I might join his clergy, he said.
