Pupils of State School 1, Apani, in Ikwerre Local Government Area, and State School 1, Omudioga, in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, are set to benefit from the renovation of their dilapidated classrooms.

The project will be facilitated by the member representing Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Boniface Sunday Emerengwa, through his constituency intervention projects.

The intervention will cover the renovation, rehabilitation and furnishing of classroom blocks in both schools.

The project aims to restore deteriorating school facilities and provide a better learning environment for pupils and teachers.

At State School 1, Apani, and State School 1, Omudioga, the condition of the existing classroom blocks has raised concerns about the quality of the learning environment.

However, the proposed intervention is expected to address some of these challenges by improving the physical condition of the facilities. When completed, the renovated classrooms are expected to provide pupils with more suitable spaces for learning. They will also give teachers a better environment to carry out their duties.

According to information on the project, work is expected to commence in the coming days.

The intervention forms part of Emerengwa’s constituency projects aimed at addressing infrastructure needs in the Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency.

Parents, teachers and members of the two communities are among those expected to benefit from the improved facilities.

The completion of the projects will be important in determining the extent to which the intervention improves teaching and learning conditions in both schools.
