At least, 162 persons were killed in road crashes across Ogun State from January to November 2020.
Also, 927 persons sustained injuries in the 774 road accidents that occurred in the State during the 11 months period.
The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) disclosed this in Abeokuta on Monday.
The Corps Commander of TRACE, Mr Seni Ogunyemi disclosed this while defending the 2021 budget proposal of the traffic agency before the Ogun House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation.
According to Ogunyemi, the TRACE Corps is mapping out strategies to reduce road traffic crashes in 2021.
He added that TRACE had planned to train drivers in over 400 viable companies in the State.
He blamed lack of knowledge and understanding for most accidents on the road.
