Babatunde Gbadamosi, a Labour Party (LP) stalwart in Lagos, attacked the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday following its claim on former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obasanjo recently backed Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, saying the former Anambra governor had an advantage in the February 25 election.
The APC Presidential Campaign Council chastised the ex-president, calling him a “paperweight politician” just hours after his endorsement.
The administration, on the other hand, attacked the former president, claiming that Buhari is ahead of him (Obasanjo) in all areas of national progress.
In response, the former Lagos governorship candidate on the platform of the African Democratic Party (ADP) said in a series of tweets Tuesday that Obasanjo’s grandeur exceeds that of all APC leaders combined.
“I remarked in 2019 that the grandeur in Obasanjo’s tiny finger much outweighs that of Tinubu, Buhari and ALL the leaders of the APC combined. That is still true today.
“I refer all the stupid shills howling about Obasanjo being “jealous” of Tinubu or “envious” of Buhari’s achievements to this allegation. Where Obasanjo has stepped foot on this planet, both of them will never smell.
“If there ever was such a thing as VICARIOUS AMBITION, Obasanjo has carried that for all of us since the Civil War, displayed it during his short but most significant period as military Head of State, and achieved virtual miracles as two-term elected President.
“Don’t forget that the embarrassing National Debt he ended up selling was first acquired by the reckless & financially incompetent Buhari, who has gone on yet another reckless borrowing spree while implementing the daftest economic policies I’ve ever had the displeasure to observe.
“If a man of Obasanjo’s stature endorses Obi, é understand why,” he tweeted.
