The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has set aside N1.4 billion for refreshment/meals, honorarium settlement, and other purposes in 2023.
According to leadership, the aforementioned sum is part of the N193 billion allocated to the Ministry from the N21.83 trillion appropriation act recently passed by the National Assembly and signed by President Buhari.
The amount was divided as follows: N26,156,222 million was designated for refreshment/meal, while N140,668,563 million was designated for welfare packages.
According to documents obtained from the Federation’s Budget Office, the ministry’s allocation, excluding the four agencies under its control, was N8.906 billion. The document went on to explain that while the total personnel cost was N2.008 billion, total overhead was N2.232 billion, and total capital was N4.664 billion, the total allocation for the ministry was N8.906 billion.
