A 300-LEVEL FUTA STUDENT COMMITS SUICIDE DUE TO FRAUD ACCUSATIONS.

Oluwapelumi Joseph Olona was a 300-level student at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), in Ondo State.

In the early hours of Saturday, January 21, 2023, the body of the Department of Industrial Design student who committed suicide in his room in Akure’s Aule neighborhood was discovered after his close friends forced the door open.

Multiple sources indicated that his action might not have been unrelated to the depression and financial difficulties he struggled with.

Because he served as the Financial Secretary up until his passing, a friend of the deceased named Omoniyi Enoch claimed that the deceased had a problem with financial misappropriation with his Department.
