Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police for Lagos State, announced on Friday that a probe had been opened into the alleged threat made against a tribe by Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the head of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee.
In an interview with Arise News on the preview of the upcoming Saturday elections for the state legislature and governor, Owohunwa made this statement.
In a popular video, MC Oluomo had threatened a group of Lagos residents to stay home from the polls if they weren’t going to vote for the APC, the city’s ruling party (APC).
MC Oluomo added in the video, “Please inform them, we have pleaded with them. It is not a conflict if they choose not to support us. Inform them that if they don’t vote for us, Chukwudi’s mother will sit down at home. Do you comprehend? at home, take a seat.
