The Federal Government is fully committed to promoting youth development and strengthening national unity, said Minister of State for Youth Development, Olawande Ayodele. He made this announcement during a visit from the Nigeria Youth Union (NYU) delegation at his office in Abuja.

In a statement signed by NYU President Chinonso Obasi, the youth delegation called for a reorganization of the Nigerian youth structure and emphasized the importance of reorienting young people toward national cohesion. Obasi highlighted key challenges affecting Nigerian youth, including economic hardship, unemployment, insecurity, and infrastructure gaps.

Responding, Minister Ayodele praised the NYU for its advocacy efforts in areas like healthcare, local government autonomy, youth inclusion in governance, and anti-corruption. He reiterated the government’s readiness to work with the NYU to address these pressing issues and strengthen youth development efforts.
