The Governor highlighted the importance of having a functional Senate building, noting its absence despite the university being established nearly 25 years ago. Additionally, other projects aimed at improving the university’s infrastructure were outlined, including staff quarters, additional student hostels, and the completion of long-neglected facilities such as the Faculty of Engineering and the Information and Communication Centre.

Yusuf also reassured students that their welfare would be improved, with a focus on better water and electricity supply in the hostels. He emphasized that the state government would provide special attention to the university moving forward to enhance its standing among top Nigerian institutions.

During the visit, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Yakasai, expressed appreciation for the state government’s efforts over the past year and called for continued support. The Governor, accompanied by his deputy and other key officials, toured the campus, which included visits to the land designated for expansion and the locations of future developments.
