Miss FCT, Queen Sarah Okli, has been crowned the winner of the 2025 Face of Tourism beauty pageant. She triumphed over 10 other contestants to claim the prestigious title at the event’s grand finale on Saturday, which took place at the Armed Forces Officers Mess in Lungi Barracks, Abuja.

The night was filled with glitz and glamour, as industry stakeholders, showbiz entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders gathered to celebrate the beauty and tourism sector. Queen Okli’s victory highlighted the growing recognition of tourism’s potential in Nigeria, with the sector attracting increasing attention as a driver of economic growth.

The first runner-up, Queen Theresa Jonathan of Kaduna, was crowned Miss Tradition 2025, while the second runner-up, Queen Laura Eze from Enugu, became the Face of Tourism Ambassador 2025. Additionally, Queen Anita Emmanuel from Akwa Ibom was named Face of Tourism North 2025.

In her address, Jane Ochanya, the founder and CEO of Free Image Humanitarian Foundation (FIHF), the pageant’s organizers, congratulated Queen Okli and urged her to use her reign to promote Nigeria’s tourism potential. Ochanya emphasized the importance of tourism in driving job creation and contributing to the national economy, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. She also called for increased government investment in the sector, highlighting its role in Nigeria’s economic diversification.

Ochanya, a former beauty queen herself, expressed the pageant’s mission to offer youth, particularly young girls, positive exposure and direction, aiming to steer them away from harmful social vices and toward success in the tourism industry. She stressed the role of the Face of Tourism beauty pageant in creating awareness about tourism’s economic impact and its capacity to generate jobs for Nigeria’s youth.
