Colombian captain and former Bayern Munich midfielder, James Rodríguez, has praised Luis Díaz’s switch from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, describing it as a “right choice” for the talented winger.

Rodríguez, who once dazzled at the Allianz Arena, believes Díaz will make an immediate impact under new Bayern boss Vincent Kompany.

“I think Luis Díaz made the right choice. Bayern signed a great player,” Rodríguez said in an interview with The TouchlineX. “Lucho is a good fit for them. Bayern is a great club. I think he will help them a lot.”

The 28-year-old Díaz recently completed a permanent transfer from Liverpool to the Bundesliga giants and made his debut in their 2–1 friendly win over Lyon on Saturday.

Now, all eyes are on the Colombian as he prepares to face Tottenham Hotspur in Bayern’s next pre-season fixture on Thursday.

With Rodríguez’s seal of approval and Kompany’s tactical vision, Bayern fans are hopeful that Díaz will become a key figure in the club’s push for silverware this season.
