Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Diran Odeyemi, has predicted that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar could dump the African Democratic Congress (ADC) if former President Goodluck Jonathan defects to the party.

Speaking on News Central’s Politics HQ on Tuesday, Odeyemi described the ADC as “Atiku’s Disciples Congress,” claiming it serves as a political trap for any presidential aspirant who aligns with the former PDP flagbearer.

“ADC’s alignment with Atiku Abubakar makes it a political trap for presidential hopefuls,” Odeyemi said. “Atiku moved his people there. If any presidential hopeful joins ADC today, that will be the end of his dealings with the party.”

He argued that Atiku’s political strategies have repeatedly backfired, citing the 2019 presidential election where he picked Peter Obi as running mate, as well as his failure to address demands from the PDP G-5 governors.

Odeyemi insisted that a Jonathan entry into ADC would trigger Atiku’s immediate exit. “If Jonathan comes to ADC, Atiku will leave — just take that,” he declared.
