Kelechi Iheanacho powered Celtic to a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Motherwell in a pulsating Scottish Premiership clash on Sunday.

The Nigerian forward broke the deadlock in the 27th minute, coolly converting from the penalty spot to set Brendan Rodgers’ men on course. The goal marked Iheanacho’s third strike in five appearances across all competitions for the Glasgow giants.

Despite a spirited fightback from Motherwell, Celtic held their nerve to seal all three points and snap their three-match winless run. Iheanacho made way for Michel-Ange Balikwisha with 12 minutes left on the clock as the Hoops saw out the tense finale.

The victory moves Celtic within touching distance of the top, trimming the gap to league leaders Hearts to just two points as the title race heats up.
