The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has restated its commitment to ensuring steady fuel supply, competitive pricing, and uncompromised product quality across Nigeria.

Speaking at the 2025 Inaugural Annual Downstream Petroleum Week in Abuja, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Bayo Ojulari, said strategic partnerships in the downstream petroleum sector are crucial to unlocking value, driving sustainability, and deepening commercialization.

Ojulari described Nigeria’s downstream sector as one undergoing transition and reform, noting that collaboration among industry stakeholders is key to achieving a sustainable energy future.

“With Africa’s energy demand projected to surge in the coming years, Nigeria must position itself to harness opportunities for inclusive growth,” he said.

Ojulari emphasized that building a resilient energy economy requires “supply partnerships, infrastructure co-investments, security alliances, host community cooperation, and operational collaboration.”

He commended the National Assembly and the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) for organizing the inaugural Downstream Petroleum Week, themed “Celebrating Our Successes, Confronting Our Challenges, and Finding Solutions for the Petroleum Downstream Sector.”

The event brought together policymakers, industry players, and energy stakeholders to deliberate on sector reforms and emerging opportunities.
