Gunmen on Tuesday raided Isapa community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, kidnapping a pregnant woman, 10 children, two nursing mothers and several others in yet another security breach rocking the state.

Residents said between 20 and 30 armed bandits swept into the community, advancing with a large herd of cattle and firing sporadically. In the chaos, a stray bullet hit an elderly woman.

A community leader who confirmed the attack told National Pilot that 11 people were abducted, including seven members of one family. Those kidnapped include: Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat (housewife), Fatima Yusufu (housewife), Sarah Sunday (pregnant woman), Lami Fidelis (nursing mother), and Haja Na Allah.

The attackers reportedly fled through bush paths linking Eruku to neighbouring settlements, leaving residents terrified and disoriented.

The incident comes barely two weeks after bandits invaded the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), seizing 38 worshippers, while others reportedly died during the onslaught. Authorities have since rescued all 38 abducted victims from the church attack.
