Former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to Nigeria after weeks abroad, signalling a renewed push in party consultations and internal mobilisation.
Ganduje arrived in Lagos on Saturday aboard an Emirates Airlines flight, touching down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 4:30 p.m., before travelling onward to Abuja later in the evening.
His return sets the stage for a series of political engagements, particularly consultations with APC leaders and stakeholders, as the party navigates evolving political developments in Kano State. According to a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, the meetings will review recent party dynamics and promote constructive engagement among critical actors.
The statement also confirmed that Ganduje will play an active role in the APC’s ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration exercise. The initiative, introduced during his tenure as national chairman, aims to digitise the party’s membership database, strengthen internal coordination, and ensure accurate, accessible records.
Garba noted that the former governor remains focused on consolidating party structures and fostering inclusive dialogue as part of efforts to deepen internal democracy within the APC, with particular attention on Kano State.
