The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has revised the orientation schedule for prospective corps members posted to Enugu State and Osun State under the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II exercise. According to an official statement by Caroline Embu, Director of Information and Public Relations, the orientation schedule for the two states will now begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and end on Monday, May 18, 2026.

The scheme explained that the adjustment follows ongoing renovation work at the orientation camps by the respective state governments. It stressed that this change only affects Enugu and Osun. “This slight adjustment is due to the on-going extensive renovation of the Camps by the State Governments which has necessitated the change in date,” the statement read.

For other states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the orientation schedule remains unchanged. It will run from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The NYSC urged all affected candidates to take note of the revised dates and act accordingly.

The agency also wished prospective corps members safe travel to their places of deployment. Earlier reports confirmed that the NYSC had released call-up letters for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II. Candidates began accessing their deployment details through the official portal early Monday.

However, many users reported difficulty logging in due to heavy traffic on the site. Despite this, confirmations from several applicants showed that call-up numbers and postings were successfully uploaded.

Will this updated orientation schedule affect your preparation plans for the NYSC programme?
