Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has renewed his criticism of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over Nigeria’s worsening security crisis following reports that a teacher abducted during an attack on a secondary school in Oyo State was killed.

In a statement posted on his official page, Sowore recalled warnings he said he gave Nigerians during the 2023 presidential election campaign about the possible consequences of a Tinubu presidency.

“During the 2023 election season, I went on Agidigbo FM 88.7 warning Nigerians, especially Yorubas, about the disaster Bola Ahmed Tinubu would bring upon the country. Sadly, many refused to listen,” he said.

Sowore also said he made similar remarks during an appearance on Miliki 101.3 FM in Lagos but claimed callers repeatedly dismissed his concerns.

“Now look at what ‘Emilokan’ has done to you all. Tinubu is a disaster!” he added.

He further alleged that the photograph attached to his post showed the mathematics teacher pleading for his life after gunmen reportedly stormed a secondary school in Oyo State, abducted several people and later killed him.
