Nollywood performer Chinedu Ikedieze, called Aki, has thought back on the difficulties he encountered as a child as a result of his diagnosis of stunted growth.

This was disclosed by the 45-year-old during a recent conversation with well-known media figure Chude Jideonwo.

The actor claimed that after hearing the doctor tell his mother about his condition, he felt extremely upset and later entertained ideas of taking his own life due to his condition of retarded growth. I was nine years and six months old when something happened, according to Ikedieze. The doctor informed my mother, “Madam, what he has is stunted growth,” in my memory.

That was when I started hearing the words, stunted and retarded growth. I cried several times because I was b¥lli£d in school and even at home because I wasn’t growing properly.

It got bad, there were times I thought of ending it all. Thank God I no grow for Lagos because Third Mainland Bridge no far o [laughs].”
