Amusa Clinches AGN Southwest Vice Presidency at Edo Convention

Nollywood star Dayo Amusa has secured election as the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) National Vice President, Southwest, following a keenly watched ballot held on Saturday during the 2025 AGN annual convention in Edo State.

Amusa, a prominent filmmaker and actress, expressed gratitude to delegates and campaign supporters in a post shared on Instagram. She acknowledged their confidence, noting that the mandate reflects the trust reposed in her leadership capacity within the guild.

“Thank you to all the Delegates, AGN Chairmen, elders, and members nationwide who found me worthy to occupy this position as the AGN National Vice President Southwest. I truly appreciate the confidence you’ve placed in me,” she wrote.

She further commended her campaign director and team for their role in the successful outing, thanking Ani Blessing, Madam Oby Express, and other members of her campaign structure.

Amusa is expected to bring her industry experience and advocacy voice to bear as the guild transitions into a new administrative year.
