Atiku Abubakar, a PDP presidential candidate, and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, a PDP vice presidential candidate, have reaffirmed their commitment to bringing Nigerians together and stabilizing the economy.
At a rally for support on Wednesday in Osun state, the PDP presidential candidates gave assurances to Nigerians while speaking to thousands of party members and supporters at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in Osogbo.
Recall that Osun residents are still in a festive mood following Senator Ademola Adeleke’s appointment as the state’s sixth governor, which just happened recently.
Atiku promised that, if elected, his government would address security, revive the economy, unify the country, and enhance the educational system while speaking to party members ahead of the campaign rally.
He said that since the All Progressive Congress (APC) took office in 2015, Nigerians have endured poor leadership, and that the PDP is running in the election to bring about Nigeria’s restoration.
If we are elected into power, we would stabilize Nigeria, bring its people together, protect the safety of people and their property, and make sure that our citizens profit from the PDP’s capable leadership, according to Atiku.
“My brothers and sisters in Osun State, I want to thank you and implore you to vote for the PDP in the upcoming general election in greater numbers than you did in the previous state election.
“We assure you that we will not let you down. That is the only way you can protect your future and the future of your children.
“We have done it before, so we have the experience. We are not like APC. We possess the necessary individuals to effect change, and Nigerian government is not a recent development.
Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun state, also spoke at the gathering and declared, “If Atiku Abubakar is elected President of Nigeria in 2023, Nigeria will undoubtedly grow and prosper.
“Atiku will reunite the country and restore the economy, security, agriculture, education, and health. The only candidate who can free Nigeria from its many issues and difficulties is Atiku, an experienced man.
He continued, “Nigeria had the biggest economy in Africa while Atiku served as vice president. Nigeria would be led toward progress by Atiku. He’ll put the rule of law and due process back in place. Atiku will protect the country.
Okowa added, “I urge the people to vote for Atiku Abubakar as he is the only one that can save Nigeria from its economic troubles.” He then urged the people of Osun to cast their ballots for PDP in large numbers on February 25, 2023.
