Lt. Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, a former minister of defense, has received congratulations from President Muhammadu Buhari as he approaches his 85th birthday on December 9, 2022.

In a statement released by his media assistant, Femi Adesina, the President joined family members, including his wife, Senator Daisy Danjuma, in congratulating the former Chief of Army Staff, who served honorably in the military from 1975 to 1979 and has since continued to be active in the private sector, creating jobs for many people and sharing his experience with organizations and governments in forming development policies.

The former minister of defense was lauded by President Buhari for his work advancing democracy and democratic principles in the nation and constantly advising political leaders on the necessity of putting the country first and working for the greater good of citizens.

The President commended the former Chief of Army Staff’s generosity in establishing a foundation that helps the less fortunate and makes outstanding contributions to the fields of health and education.

For the safety of the military man and his family, President Buhari prayed.
