AYU DROPS HIS LAWSUIT CONTESTING HIS DISMISSAL AS PDP CHAIR, BREAKING NEWS

In order for Gabriel Suswam, a former governor of Benue State, to succeed suspended National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu as the party’s substantive chairman, Ayu has withdrawn a lawsuit contesting his expulsion from the organization.

Since 2023, when a High Court in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, prevented Ayu from posing as the party’s leader, it is thought that the case has prevented the PDP from having a legitimate National Chairman.

The Court of Appeal of Nigeria in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, revealed on Wednesday that Ayu had withdrawn the appeal against the respondents filed on the 27th day of June 2023 via Notice of Appeal dated the 26th day of June 2023. The notice of withdrawal of appeal, tagged CA/MK/88/2024 SUIT NO: MHC/85/2023 dated April 15, was made available.

Ayu, the appellant, filed a lawsuit against Engineer Terhide Utaan, with the PDP serving as the respondent.

Take notice that the appellant intends to withdraw the appeal against the respondents, which was filed on June 27, 2023, in its whole, as stated in the Notice of Appeal dated June 26, 2023.
