Blord marriage advice has sparked conversations after celebrity Nigerian businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, urged singles to delay marriage until they are financially and emotionally prepared.
Speaking on the Adult Gist podcast, Blord warned young Nigerians against allowing peer pressure or societal expectations to influence such a life-changing decision. Instead, he encouraged them to choose their partners carefully and avoid rushing into marriage.
He argued that marriage should not be seen as an achievement or a competition. According to him, people who rush into marriage often face challenges that could have been avoided with patience and maturity.
Blord also appealed to both men and women to treat each other with respect. He advised men not to break women’s hearts, saying their actions could one day be reflected in how others treat their own daughters. Likewise, he urged women to treat men with the same kindness they would want shown to their sons.
Furthermore, he stressed that age should not determine when people get married. Rather, emotional readiness, financial stability and careful partner selection should guide such decisions.
Blord concluded by warning that ending a marriage is often difficult, especially when children are involved. Therefore, he encouraged singles to take their time before making the lifelong commitment.
