Nigerian singer Obumneme Ali, better known as Smash of the music duo Bracket, has stirred fresh reactions after describing the long-running rift between Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square as “spiritual.”

Speaking on the latest episode of the AFRIMMA Podcast with his bandmate Vast, Smash disclosed that even Paul once admitted to him that the quarrel with his twin brother Peter was beyond the ordinary.

“I’m closer to Paul than Peter, but I often visit Peter and he listens to me whenever I speak to him. Unfortunately, if you ask me as an insider, I’ll say their problem is spiritual,” Smash revealed.

He added that he had previously told Paul his issues with Peter were not normal, a view Paul reportedly agreed with. Smash expressed disappointment that the once inseparable brothers, who built the globally celebrated P-Square brand with their elder brother Jude, had allowed their bond to fall apart.

“If you knew how close these guys were and how hard they worked, you’d feel so bad looking at what’s going on today,” Smash said.
