Tunji Wusu –
Sir Tony Ejiogu, the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s (APGA) governorship candidate in Imo State, has promised to change the state if he is elected.
Ejiogu promised to concentrate on the underlying reasons rather than the outward signs of the state’s crumbling infrastructure.
Ejiogu claimed in a media interview that he has already created his plan to advance the state right away.
He claimed that his five-point plan addresses the issues brought up by state residents, particularly those related to the lack of healthcare and education.
“Removing rodents is the least of your concerns if your home is on fire. We are aware of the dire situation in Imo State.
“We are aware of the significance of industries like healthcare and education. Additionally, it is necessary to address the underlying governance problems first.
We are where we are because our house is on fire. The fundamental pillars of government have degenerated to the point where the state’s very survival is in jeopardy. Facilities across a range of industries are deteriorating as a result of a lack of trust, productivity, and safety, according to Ejiogu.
He continued by saying that he is not a professional politician making grand declarations about constructing roads and schools. Instead, he said, his focus is on repairing the government and creating a system where all facets of governance are carried out skillfully and honestly.
“My 5-point plan includes extensive measures intended to put out the fire devouring Imo State. Our goal is to create a functioning government where confidence is restored, productivity soars, and safety reigns,” he continued.
