EL-RUFAI, WIKE, OYETOLA, AND OTHER FORMER GOVERNORS ARE ON PRESIDENT TINUBU’S LIST OF MINISTERS.

On July 26, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu forwarded the Senate his list of cabinet nominees for consideration and confirmation. According to the article, Nasiru El-Rufai, Nyesom Wike, and Ali Pate, a renowned medical researcher, are at the top of the list. El-Rufai was the former governor of Kaduna State.

Law luminary Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), economist Olawale Edun, former Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, banker Adebayo Adelabu, APC Women Leader Mrs. Betta Edu, senator Ben Ayade, and renowned journalist Dele Alake, who is currently the Special Adviser on Media, Strategy & Special Duties, are also up for cabinet positions.

According to reports, the President sent the list to Senate President Godswill Akpabio in accordance with a constitutional requirement that it reach the National Assembly no later than 60 days following the president’s inauguration.
