On Thursday, the Federal Government declared that it was looking for methods to stop the trend of Nigerians moving overseas.
The government also declared that it will keep working to provide Nigerians with productive employment in order to discourage them from traveling overseas.
The guarantee was given in Abuja by Minister of State for Science, Technology, and Innovation Henry Ikoh as he sat in audience with Ms. Deemah Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), who had paid him a courtesy call.
It was learned that the visit was related to the impending Digital Nigeria Day Conference. The minister welcomed the team and stated that by working in tandem with the DCO in the field of human capital development, the government could reverse the trend through industrialization. “For the world to become a global village, the synergy is what we need, capacity building is essential, and technology transfer is what Nigeria and Africa in particular need at the present.”
