GENERAL ONYEUKO, A FORMER MILITARY SPOKESMAN, PASSED AWAY FOLLOWING A BRIEF ILLNESS.

Major General Bernard Onyeuko, a former director of defense media operations, has passed away.

Onyeuko, one of the generals recently requested to retire after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed new service chiefs, is reported to have passed away on Saturday morning, August 26, after becoming unwell out of the blue.

According to PRNigeria, Onyeuko complained of a cold early on Saturday and was transported to a private hospital in Abuja, where he later passed away.

A buddy of the late General reportedly stated that he was healthy on Friday but became ill on Saturday morning. A few hours later, he said.
