Gothom Claims Akwa United December Player of the Month Award

Akwa United striker Daniel Gothom has clinched the club’s Player of the Month award for December after dominating the voting conducted among fans, club officials and teammates.

Gothom delivered a series of decisive performances during the month, featuring in all of Akwa United’s fixtures and leading the line with authority. He scored two vital goals that directly powered the Promise Keepers to victories against Osun United and First Bank, underlining his growing influence in the squad.

In the same period, midfielder Michael Okenwa emerged as the club’s Goal of the Month winner. Okenwa’s spectacular acrobatic strike against First Bank, which extended Akwa United’s lead in a 3–1 away win in Lagos, topped the voting to claim the accolade.

Both Gothom and Okenwa have since received their awards from the club.
