At the Green Field Football Ground, located in the Lekki district of Lagos State, a man who has not been recognized reportedly collapsed and died while playing.

SP Officers from the Maroko police division brought in the information on Friday, according to Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state command, who confirmed the occurrence on his verified Twitter account on Monday.

He stated that the 31-year-old, comparatively unknown football player passed away on Friday at around 6.30 p.m.

According to the PPRO, he was taken urgently to Ever Care Hospital in Lekki for treatment, where the attending physician declared him dead.

According to the story, a team of detectives went to the hospital and the football field, where they examined the corpse and took pictures.

The body was placed in a public morgue for an autopsy. An investigation is ongoing in the meanwhile,” he stated.

Do a routine medical checkup beforehand. Life has no duplicate, as we like to say in the street,” he declared.

However, Hundeyin cautioned the general public—particularly athletes—not to overexert themselves. He suggested that they rest when they were worn out.
